Children’s Attendance and Registers

23rd August 2019

It is very important that ALL parents remember to sign their children IN and OUT of nursery on a daily basis. Please also let us know by 10am if your child will not be attending nursery on that day. Staff will contact parents after 10am to ascertain the whereabouts of your child. This is in line with our Child Protection and Health and Safety Policies. Thank you.


Pre-School reports and parent interviews

20th June 2019

Our Wellie Beans staff have been very busy writing reports for all of our children who will be moving on up to P1. These will be sent home to parents shortly. There will also be an opportunity for parents to meet with staff to discuss individual progress.


Visit to the farm

20th June 2019

We would like to say a HUGE thank you to Abbie and her mum Debbie, for arranging this visit for us. We had a superb day at Eastern Anguston Farm. We saw peacocks, alpacas, chickens, pigs and lambs. WHAT a day to remember!


KingsWellies Parent Council

20th June 2019

The objectives of our parent council are: to develop and engage in activities which support the education and welfare of the nursery children and to represent the views of the parents in regards to the education and welfare of the nursery children. The role is to support and create a welcoming nursery that is inclusive for all parents and to promote relationships between the nursery, children, parents, carers and the wider community.


P1 Graduation

20th June 2019

This year we have 32 very grown up boys and girls who will be leaving us to start school! They have been busy preparing for their Graduation party. They have organised everything themselves – from shopping at Aldi, to phoning and booking Magician Spruce and making up their very own song! As a special treat, our 2019 leavers are holding a Magic Graduation Party on 27th June. Mums and Dads have been invited too. Magician Spruce will also be there to WOW us all with his amazing magic skills!


Life Skills Awards – July 2018

This Summer, we will be consolidating ALL of our life skills awards, ready to start on the next level in September. Please help us by reinforcing these VERY important skills at home too.


Staffing Update

20th June 2019

Huge congratulations to Chloe and Taylor who have recently completed their SVQ childcare qualification. They are now fully qualified practitioners. Great achievement! Congratulations also to Lisa. Lisa has just qualified as a Primary School Teacher. Lisa will be leaving us in July. She has secured a job at Brimmond Primary School and will teach a P3 class. We are absolutely thrilled for Lisa. She has been studying for this post graduate qualification whilst working with us. This has been a HUGE amount of work and although we will REALLY, REALLY miss her, we are thrilled for her. Brimmond School are very lucky to have you Lisa. Good luck and keep in touch. You have been a huge asset to KingsWellies! Good luck also to Lynsey who left us recently. Lyndsey has gone to take up a role with the NHS. Best wishes.


Gardening and Sustainability galore!

We have been very busy with our garden! Thank you to all of the boys and girls for helping with all of the planting. It was a BIG job! Also to our gardening group for ensuring that they are watered and looked after every day. Our ECO Group have also been very busy building compost bins and trying to reduce our recycling waste. Great work all round!


Drive Carefully

Outdoor Education Consultation

Please see our attached consultation. I have added it again to this Newsletter in order to gain more feedback. Many thanks to those who did respond last month. We have also been consulting with children and staff. We are trying to improve our outdoor education provision therefore your feedback is extremely valuable to us. We have a new Outdoor Education Committee – Amy, Kirsty and Eibhlish are leading on this important iniative.
