Care Inspectorate

03rd June 2016

As you are aware, we had our first Care Inspectorate inspection earlier this month. The Care Inspectors spent two full days in the nursery inspecting ALL of our practice. They also spoke to our parents, staff and children. We were really delighted with the feedback which was extremely positive. The report will be published in around a month. I will be very excited to share this with you all. They also shared with us a range of the parental comments that they had received through our questionnaires. I will publish these on our website for your information. Many thanks again to you all for your ongoing support in our first year – we couldn’t do it without you! All staff have received an extra “Duvet Day” as a thank you for their hard work also. Thank you also to Christine for our beautiful flowers! She was thinking about us even in Menorca!

Mad Hatters Tea Party

03rd June 2016

We have 12 grown up boys and girls who will be leaving us at the end of the Summer (or before) to start the next exciting chapter of their lives in P1! As a special treat, they have decided that they would like to plan a “Mad Hatters Graduation Tea Party” to celebrate. The children will plan, organise, prepare, design hats and shop for their special celebration party. The party will take place during the morning of Thursday 30th June. Any boys and girls who do not usually attend nursery on a Thursday, are more than welcome to come along to join their fellow P1s. Good luck boys and girls! We will REALLY miss you all and wish you the very best wishes for your new careers in P1!

Dolphins

03rd June 2016

We are delighted to have adopted Rainbow and Eric on long-term loan. One of our VERY generous and thoughtful parents have asked us to take care of them for a wee while! We LOVE them and are just trying to decide the best place to put them so that everyone can appreciate their absolute “fabulousness!” Here are a much younger Shae and Kasper with the very same dolphins as part of the original dolphin hunt!

Parents – Coffee Meeting

01st May 2016

As outlined in our previous newsletters, some of our parents were keen to meet up with each other for a wee gathering. A small group went ahead and arranged to meet for a coffee on Tuesday 19th April. I know that they would be delighted to welcome any other parents who would like to join future get-togethers. They are a VERY friendly bunch and I am sure that this would be a really nice opportunity to make some new friends and have a great time! Please let me know if you would like to attend and I will pass your email address on.
