For more ideas on what you can do with your child at home to promote health and happiness, you can download lots of activity guides from www.ndna.org.uk/healthy. We really enjoyed participating in the latest Healthy Body, Happy Me campaign. We completed lots of exciting activities. Queenswellies enjoyed taking part in a variety of activities throughout the Health week: Mon: Magnificent Me - Walk to park and Yoga Tues: Amazing Appetites- Fruit Skewers and Smoothies Wed: Terrific Twisters - Cheese Twists and Twister Board Game Thurs: Brilliant Balancers - Obstacle course in our garden Fri: Fearless and Flexible - Bees Cyclone and Gym Bunnies West End Wellies: West End Wellies incorporated a few of the Healthy Body, Happy Me activities into our week. These included, “Fruit Face Fun” for developing our hand-eye coordination whilst using knives to create our fruit faces, which made a delicious snack. “Obstacle Course” during our Gym Bunnies session with Lisa. This is always a firm favourite with the children. “Doodle around” was great fun, sparking creativity and encouraging the children to think imaginatively, pushing them to explore new ways of expressing themselves with art.
